Andalusia - Pontius Pilate, Trajan, Hadrian and Christopher Columbus

Seville is a very interesting and beautiful city...

It has many places to go and visit. It is located in Andalusia - South of Spain..

One of its interesting places is called Pilate's House.

Some people say that Pontius Pilate lived his last days and died there. Others say that it is not true because Pilate probably died in Tarragona, south of Catalonia.

In this blog you can read about Tarragona or Tarraco as it was named at the Roman times.

On the other hand, for sure the Emperors Trajan and Hadrian were born in this area of Spain - in Italica that is just 7 km from Seville.

In theory, Christopher Columbus is in the Cathedral of Seville...

I say "in theory" because some people affirm that his remains have been left buried in the Cathedral of Santo Domingo.

Anyways, Christopher Columbus left Cadiz to go to America in his second expedition for sure...

In fact, this region is full of so many things concerning art, history and religion that I would say...

If you are around...

You should visit Andalusia and go through its legend, truth and myth!
